Considering the phase difference between the maximum total horizontal wave force and the maximum total vertical wave force acting on perforated caisson, which can effectively reduce the wave reflection in front of the building, while reducing the wave force, reducing construction costs, due to the effect of wave absorbing chamber in the perforated caisson. Therefor study on perforated caisson developed constantly in recent years. However, most scholars are on the reflectivity of research, research on perforated caisson stability also rarely reported. And the engineering in addition to emphasis on perforated caisson reflectivity problems, the most important is the stability problems, so research perforated caisson stability is necessary.The physical model test was carried out in the dimensional wave tank of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering Dalian University of Technology. Through single factor analysis method, systematical considered the relationship between the stability of perforated caisson and their effect factors, as relative wave chamber width, relative depth, wave steepness, relative height of foundation and the porosity of the perforated front wall, when the perforated caisson suffered regular and irregular wave under four different heights of foundation(0.00m,0.10m,0.15m and 0.20m). Then we propose a new method to calculate the stability of perforated caisson. In addition, considering the relationship between the ratio of the maximum total horizontal (vertical) wave force acting on perforated caisson and the maximum total torque acting on perforated caisson moment in time corresponding to the horizontal (vertical) force and their effect factors, in order to deeply understand the overturning effect of perforated caisson. Finally, a brief analysis of perforated caisson structure optimization method carried out through the above mentioned analysis.Comparing the experimental and calculated values prove related expression obtained by least square method is intuitive, simple and convenient calculation, which can solve engineering problems, provide a reference for practical engineering design.
