In recent years,with the development of economy,the continuous improvement of people's material living standards,the minibus which loads 5 to 8 peopole is high appreciated by the broad masses of people,especially rural people on its cheap,economical and practical advantages.However,the minibus has shortcomings on safety performance,manipulation stability and crash compatibility etc,combined with the traffic consciousness of minibus drivers is weak,the rural areas lack the vehicle management,a large numeber of minibus traffic accidents appear.Therefore,clarifying the mechanism of brain injury of the minibus driver,which is of great significance for the reconstruction of traffic accidents,the identification of accident liability,the treatment of the injured and the reduction of mortality.A vehicle collision model for driver injury is established by using the finite element method combined with the THUMS4.0 human body model.Through the platform of the Chong qing Ba Yi Traffic Accidents Forensic Center,to participate in daily case collection and select collision accidents.The case of a minibus collided with a truck is reconstructed on the basis of deep understanding of the case and obtaining the boundary conditions.To obtain dynamic response data which contains equivalent stress of skull,brain stress and intracranial pressure by using post-processing software Hyperview.Comparing driver injury with the simulation results,which determines whether the data of simulation is reliable.The mechanism of brain injury on 100% frontal impact and 40% offset impact were studied on the basis of the driver injury model,and the effect of moving the seat back on the head injury was discussed.In order to develop the corresponding countermeasures of reducing the damage of human body,establishing restraint system model of driver through multi-rigid-body dynamics simulation analysis software MADYMO,and analysis the influence of seat and seatbelt related parameters on occupant injury.Under the condition of not increasing the cost and changing the body structure,select ribbon stiffness,X position of seat and height of hanging point as optimization parameters of restraint system.The simulation tests were carried out by using quadratic rotation orthogonal experimental design,and the minimal WIC(Weighted Injury Criterion)was taken as the optimization object.In order to establish equations about WIC,using 1stOpt software to finish non-linear curve fitting,and the genetic algorithm is used to obtain the optimal combination of parameters.Research results show that the finite element method combined with thums human model can well reconstruct the whole process of accident collision and get detailed head biomechanical response.This method provieds a effective way for studying mechanism of brain injury of minibus driver,which also improve the of minibus market and provides theoretical support for the relevant government departments when making relevant laws and regulations.At the same time indirectly urging the minibus manufacturers to improve the safety performance of the product.The optimization results of restraint system show that the reasonable selection of seat and seatbelt parameters can effectively reduce the damage risk of the minibus driver.
