Distribution network is the link of power system that facing consumers directly. Faced with the current situation that users continue to improve requirements of the power supply reliability and power quality, distribution automation system has become a trend, which has been put forward higher requirements in the aspect of the data integrity, accuracy and timeliness of distribution network. However, in the current situation of the shortage of the measurement configuration and low measurement accuracy, the traditional distribution network state estimation algorithm still has limitations, which remains to be further improved in terms of robust resistance, adaptability of algorithm.This paper analyzes the basic principle of state estimation in detail and describes the different between the distribution network state estimation and the transmission network state estimation. According to the different selection of the state, the distribution state estimation algorithm in general can be divided into three types Method, the three algorithms are to be introduced and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages respectively.And then we analysis the shortage of weight least squares in robust resistance. The role of Robust State Estimation is to resist the impact of bad data on the valuation of state estimation, the key to success in it lies in selecting the appropriate variable weight function. The paper deduced the relationship of residual error and weight function of Least Absolute Value Method, that provide a theoretical basis for variable weight of distribution network robust state estimation, this paper introduces exponential weighting function in the distribution network state to fix the weight of each measurement.In this paper, the example of the IEEE 36 node distribution network are introduced to verify the weighting least absolute value method state estimation algorithm based on the exponential function function. Compared with the WLS algorithm without robust function, the distribution network robust state estimation algorithm based on the Fair function can improve the estimation accuracy, it also has a significant advantage in resisting the bad data that appears in the measurement.
