As polymer materials rapid development, polymer gear has being greatly improved in the aspect of the mechanical properties, mechanical properties, and promote development from the transfer to Polymer Gear power transmission field. Due to the high speed and heavy load gear when the polymer temperature rises faster. when the temperature exceeds the critical materials, easily softens and gear wear, eventually wear failure, so the prediction of polymer gear life is of great significance to the development of gear. At present, the design of the high polymer gear is based on the design of the metal gear parameters, which are obtained from the test of the metal gear and a big error in the actual working condition of the polymer gear. This design of polymer gear fatigue wear test device, to facilitate analysis of Polymer Gear power transmission and failure mechanism, and the research on gear design parameters, provide theoretical basis and experimental data for the design of polymer gear.In this paper, according to the general principle of friction and wear of polymer gear, the research for polymer gear life prediction method. Analysis of failure form, wear pattern and wear mechanism of polymer gear, establishing polymer gear tribology, the dynamic coupling model, based on this model, the stress situation of polymer gear is analyzed. According to the Archard wear calculation model to establish the mathematical model by the wear rate to speed of polymer gear, using the least squares method to fit the curve of polymer gear wear, the working principle of polymer gear fatigue wear test device is studied.The stress analysis of polymer gear through the finite element analysis, the maximum stress and the maximum stress position of the gear are obtained, it is calculated maximum torque of 32N?m bearing by gear using mechanical formula, namely polymer gear fatigue wear test device for loading 30N?m maximum torque.According to the design requirements of the polymer gear fatigue wear test device; the design idea of the test device is obtained. The overall structure of the test device is determined according to the performance requirements of the test device; Design of flexible loading system is based on the principle of single axis support; designing the transmission system according to the principle of closed power flow, and the power calculated of the closed system is 1.1 KW. Analysis of the overall structure of the polymer gear test device, which summarizes the structural characteristics and the advantages of the test device. According to the overall design of the testing device, the main body of the test device is prepared; According to the working principle of the test device, the test steps are set up.
