In recent years,with booming of wind power industry around the world,wind power has defeated the nuclear power and become the third main energy.Especially in China,the cumulative installed capacity and the new installed capacity of wind power has been ranked first in the world.However,the problem of dissipation of wind power is one of main limitation to the healthy development of China's wind power industry,due to such issues as unreasonable planning of wind farm,insufficient carrying capacity of power grid,etc.The distributed energy and small wind power generation has been demonstrated to be one of effective means to solve this problem.For that reason,in this paper,we designed the dish shaped wind power generator,and carry out the experiments of wind tunnel test and numerical simulation,laying a foundation for the future research and pointing out the directions.The specific content and results of this paper are as follows:(1)The blade installation angle and opening angle are selected as the main research objects,the number of blade with minor importance.According to the design,we adjusted proper size of models and chosen three of them to conduct three-dimensional modeling.Then these three models which will be installed in the wind tunnel were rapid manufactured on 3D printing with split printing method.(2)Experiments of 3 models were carried out in wind tunnel,including the start-up performance test and the aerodynamic performance test.The fixed results show that the performance of 30/45 models is better than the other models,wind energy utilization coefficient is about 0.42,and can start at a very low wind speed;30/30 is after the 30/45;and 60/45 model has obvious difference with others.(3)Considering the characteristics of the subjects,the method which can produce 3D wall with no thickness was applied to meshing procedure,and through the three-dimensional steady-state numerical simulation based on the orthogonal experimental method to full size series of wind generator models,we mapped the wind energy utilization coefficient curve and flow distribution,and carried out range analysis and variance analysis of the results.The results showed that the 30/60 model has the best aerodynamic performance,and the influence of blade angle on the performance is the most obvious.In addition,the numerical simulation of three-dimensional unsteady fluid field of the 45/45 model was carried out with the same blockage ratio in wind tunnel test,and gave a reasonable explanation for the phenomenon of sudden change of rotational speed in the wind tunnel test.Overall,wind tunnel test and numerical simulation proved that the dish shaped wind turbine has a higher wind energy utilization coefficient than active market models,and has pretty good starting performance,combined with the characteristics of its low dryness,it will become one of the new direction of small wind power research.
