With the rapid development of power industry, power grid voltage levels are also increasing, conventional electromagnetic transformers have been unable to meet the requirements of the current power system, more advanced, intelligent substation has become the current trend of development. With the principle of optics and electronics Photoelectric Transformer emergence of smart grid has also been development foundation.This paper, based on the fiber-optic current transformer in the application of intelligent substation, analyze the intelligent substation information collection, measurement, control, protection, measurement and monitoring the implementation of the way, for the power grid of automatic control, intelligent adjustment and collaborative interaction, online analysis and decision to provide certain reference data.First, the status quo intelligent substation at home and abroad as the starting point, which leads significance of the topic and the topic basis, focuses on the research status of smart substation. Secondly, based on the fiber-optic optical effect current transformer, the transformer system structure analysis and transformer function module on the proposed the fiber-optic transformer applications, it focuses on the design of the optical path and transformer detection circuit. Analysis application of the fiber-optic current transformers in Su Zheng 220 kV substation, according to the needs of the current design of smart substation design program Su Zheng station, on the basis of the detailed design of three functional units: information acquisition unit, metering unit and measurement, control and protection unit. Conduct for all fiber current transformer substation analysis of possible problems, particularly the effects of temperature and vibration and other factors, make the whole system a larger error. On the basis of practical experience, we put forward some countermeasures.As more and more intelligent substation put into operation, intelligent substation technology is based on IEC 61850 standards will continue to improve mature, intelligent substation equipment hazards and defects will gradually eliminate the pre-existing, running intelligent substation equipment will also be more reliable and stable. Intelligent substation is the future trend of development, intelligent substation construction, maintenance work will be normalized in the future substation operation and maintenance, we must be prepared in advance, as soon as possible to master the intelligent substation maintenance of new technologies, to improve and enhance the power safe and stable operation of great significance.
