The Influence Of Railway On The Spatial Pattern Of Modern City In Shenyang

In 1898,Russian constructed the Middle East Railway and the South Manchurian branch in northeast of China.The two railways go through Shenyang and open railway land in Shenyang;after the Japan-Russian war in 1905, Japan invaded the South Manchurian Railway and the railway land, opened and constructed the South Manchuria Railway subsidiaries in Shenyang.The construction of the railway has produced the first city plate outside the old city in Shenyang,which has caused the development of modern business in northeast of China, industrial and mineral industry, transportation, and the change of the concept of urban construction. With the start of competition between the Chinese railway and the Japanese railway, grasping the railway means grasping the initiative of resource development, economic development and military deployment. Several railways line are paved in succession to form a railway network,which is opening the modernization process in Shenyang city, and promoting the transformation of Shenyang that to be a railway hub city, but also changing the traditional urban spatial pattern.Based on the data collection, collation and classification, the paper analyzes the impact of railway construction on the Shenyang modern urban spatial pattern in perspective of railway construction. This paper deals with the influence of railway construction on the development process of modern cities, the evolution of urban functions, the urban road system, and the form of micro urban space in Shenyang.First of all, through the understanding of China’s modern railway and its impact on the city,we get to perceive that the formation of Liaoning area as well as regarding the railway network as a link, each city is closely linked to each other and the functional division of labor is clear to format industrial agglomeration in Liaoning area.Secondly,analyzing the construction of the railway contributed to the plate type spatial characteristics of Shenyang modern city, formed the city change from single center to polyphyletic center,as well as accelerated the industrialization and modernization of the city, and then the construction of the railway has a far-reaching influence on the development process of Shenyang modern city.Thirdly, discussing the main impact of the railway on the overall layout of the city is the emergence of the railway distributes the original function distribution in Shenyang city.the railway station has a role of aggregation on the city commercial,and the railway line has a role of guidance on the city’s industrial function.Fourthly,discussing the birth of Shenyang urban railway, the impact of the urban road network organization evolution, and the impact on the transportation system.Fifthly, discussing the railway has brought new ideas and technology to the modern city.The planning and construction of the railway urban plate provides an indirect effect to the modern Shenyang city.
