SOI(silicon on insulator) technology is one of the research frontiers in micro-electronics and optoelectronics, used in circuits of high speed, low power consumption, radiation and temperature tolerance. It has importance application in MEMS sensors and optoelectronic devices. To be particle detector, SOI has become a new research field, as a full-depleted monolithic technology. The research work that SOI silicon detector pixels with alpha rays imaging detection is valuable. It have many advantages including, high speed transmission, low power consumption and the strong ability to resist radiation. Makes the silicon pixel detector with high spatial resolution, energy resolution and reading speed, etc. Therefore be used for the alpha radiator measurement will have broad prospects. The main content of this thesis is to study the SOI silicon pixels of alpha radiation imaging detect measurement.Given the alpha detecting thin window requirements for detector, make the SOI silicon pixel detector the back of incidence. The SOI detection Chip directly fixed on the collecting plate by the COB(Chip On Board) assembly technology. In order to distinguish between noise and signal, through the electronics experiment confirmed the pixel noise value distribution and pedestal value distribution, in addition to interfere with the bad pixels, and the effective signal detection threshold is determined. In the end, through repeated experiments, the alpha radiation is realized by using 241 Am source imaging detection. The largest of the trial results is successfully achieve the alpha radiation imaging. This detector can distinguish am alpha rays, and gamma rays emitted by 241 Am. At the same time, the detection technology also has at the same time with a particle energy resolution, position of resolution and radioactivity. But the accuracy of measurement has much room to improve.SOI pixel detector for alpha ray detection is carried out for the first time in China, and preliminary research achievements have been made. Laid a solid foundation for further study.
