With the national highway network became developed and perfect gradually, the highway system will be changed from the stage of large-scale construction to the stage of highway maintenance. At present the emulsified asphalt slurry seal technology to repair the road is considered to be one of the most economical and effective highway maintenance technology. Modern engineering put forward higher requirements to the performance of emulsified asphalt, and the research of new modified emulsified asphalt has become a hot spot.This paper selected montmorillonite and styrene benzene rubber composites to prepare MMT/SBR composites modified asphalt and MMT/SBR composites modified emulsified asphalt. The composite modified emulsified asphalt is characterized by using conventional test methods including penetration, softening point, ductility, rotation viscosity. And the microstructure of the prepared asphalt emulsion was analyzed. The results show that:MMT/SBR composite modified asphalt is prepared by adding MMT/SBR composite material into the asphalt and then the high-speed shear emulsifying machine sheared for 2 hours with a speed of 3000 r/min at 150?. The soap liquid is prepared by composed emulsifier (m (OP-10):m (SDBS)-1:2). The soap temperature is 70? and the asphalt temperature is 150?. Turn on the high-speed shear emulsifying machine and shear for 3 min with a speed of 7500 r/min. The MMT/SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt is obtained after static elimination. The particle size of modified emulsified asphalt is mainly distributed between 1-7 ?m. Montmorillonite dispersed in the asphalt in the form of flaky texture. So the modified emulsified asphalt has good storage stability and aging resistance.When the modifier content reached 3phr, MMT on the anti-aging performance has the highest efficiency value to modified asphalt emulsion. MMT/SBR, SBS and SBR can improve asphalt high temperature performance and low temperature anti-cracking performance. The MMT/SBR can greatly improve the low temperature performance and the low temperature ductility of asphalt, which is suitable for the popularization and application in the cold region.
