Gravity gradient has a key role in inertial navigation, energy exploration, geodetic surveying and many other fields, and develop rapidly in recent years. But the inconsistency of scale factors has serious influence on the resolution of the rotating accelerometers gravity gradiometer. To reduce this specific error, this paper presents a new algorithm to adjust the accelerometer scale factor based on simulation system of the rotating accelerometers gravity gradiometer. The main contents and results are as follows:The gravity gradiometer simulation system was designed and implemented, including hardware programming, real-time initial phase solving, the module designing of feedback scale factors' adjustment amount and many other parts of the simulation system. The modules can communicate with each other and run correctly, and the software interface is very friendly?simple and easy to operate.The scale factor adjustment theory was introduced in detail, including the method to solve initial phase, the method to demodulate data, the method to control the adjustment amount with incremental digital PID controller and so on. The method proposed in this paper can adjust the scale factor correctly.Two methods were used to realize the scale factor adjustment with the simulation system. And the results showed that the both the two methods can adjust the scale factor, the consistency of the scale factor of four accelerometers can be greatly improved, the precision of gradient signal can be improved and can meet the requirement of gravity gradiometry.The scale factor adjustment method proposed in this paper based on the gravity gradiometer simulation system is of high practice and maneuverability, and is of great significance to the development and improvement of gravity gradiometry technology and gravity gradiometer. |
