With energy and environmental issues becoming more and more serious, the world pays attention to the green vehicles. Due to its low-emission,the good economy performance and the long driving distance,Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle(PHEV) is attracting our attention, and the world also focuses on researching and promoting PHEV. Based on a parallel PHEV system, the paper has compared the economy performance and emission performance between different control strategies,.At first, the simulation models of powertrain components are created in the Matlab/Simulink environment. Comparing the results of simulation test and bench test, the accuracy of the key models are verified; The controller model which integrated the function of energy management and dynamic coordination is also created;The driver model is built which PI algorithm. On the basis, the simulation platform which can realize the development and the test of control strategies is built.Then the economy performance is researched with the method of Equivalent Consumption Minimize Strategy(ECMS). According to the characteristics of PHEV, the process was divided into 2 phrases—Charge-Sustain(CS)and Charge-Depleting(CD)?In the CS phrase, the paper discussed about the effect on economy with different parameters and start-stop strategies; In the CD phrase, this paper focused on the influence of the output power in engine and motor with different control strategies.The thirdly, with multi-objective optimization method, the trade-off of economy performance and emission performance is discussed. On the basis of the rule-based control strategy, the weighted sum algorithm and Pareto method adapted to optimize the control parameters to get better performance. The weighted sum algorithm results show that the xNO and PM performance has improved 10.71% and 12.27% respectively while the economy perforce only reduced 3.02%; the Pareto method can get many optimization results, which can help to analyze the relationships between economy and emission performance and decide what is a better results for designer.At last, on the bench test system, using rapid control prototype(RCP) as controller, this paper got the characteristics of engine and motor, realized the economy test,verified the dynamic coordination strategies and energy management strategies.
