The Frame which can withstand the major load is an important part of the mobile air compressor. It can not only bear the weight of some related parts on the frame, but also suffer the influence of deformation and impact force casued by different kinds of load in the working process.Therefore, the performance of the frame structure is closely associated with the quality of the product.Due to the domestic market of mobile air compressor is increasing,the demanding on the performance of air compressor and the structure of frame is becoming higher.With the rapid development and wide application of the finite element technology, it is very usefull during the research the structure of frame.Static analysis for frame is carried out under the working related conditions by using the finite element analysis method. Find out the weakness of the structure and improve it. It can reduce the cost of manufacturing effectively and improve efficiency.Firstly,simplified the structure and the relevant load of the frame. Then established the finite element model of frame by the finite element analysis software-hypermesh.The shell element was adopted to discrete model, and Area connector panel and Bolt connector panel were adopted to simulate the connection between the components which are Welded or bolted.Finally,the finite element model of the frame was established.Using NX-nastran, applying the corresponding load and boundary conditions for frame under the condition of lifting and traction, and the structural strength of the frame is analyzed that to obtain the cloud distribution and displacement nephogram of stress distribution of the frame.The stress and strain test and road test for frame were carried out to verify the correctness of the finite element results,it showed that the location of the stress concentration in the finite element static analysis under the condition of lifting is the same as the stress and strain test.Road test results show that the connection between chassis and drag bar was failure.It is consistent with the location of the stress concentration in the finite element static analysis. To find the weakness of the frame through a series of analysis and experiment, which can validate the correctness of analysis results in some degree.On the basis of analysis and test, put forward improvement programs of the weakness on the frame,then carry out the static analysis for the improved frame,Verify the rationality and feasibility of the improved one.
