As a kind of form of foundation treatment technology, composite foundation of plain concrete piles has been widely used in engineering construction, which has the advantages of fast construction speed, short construction period, low cost, good reinforcement effect, effective control of differential settlement. Composite foundation of plain concrete piles can be well applied to different ground conditions,it has achieved remarkable success in treatment of soft soil and loess, but the development of theoretical research is relatively slow, lagging behind in pratice,especially the theory of settlement calculation, so a lot of problems happened in its practical application process. Because of the complexity and obvious regional characteristics of composite foundation engineering, it is necessary to spend a lot of time and energy on the research and analysis of different regions and different soils.Through continuous practice and theoretical research, summarize the achievements and experience, and promote the further development of the composite foundation of plain concrete piles, and strive to serve the actual project earlier.Based on studying the achievements of the predecessors, in this paper,taking Boya manor 1# of Cangzhou Qingxian as an example. Firstly, the bearing capacity and the settlement of the plain concrete pile composite foundation are calculated by the current standard method, and the data obtained are in line with the standard requirements. Secondly, the PLAXIS software is used to calculate the settlement of the composite foundation of the plain concrete piles, the calculation results and the finite element results are compared with the experimental data, The results show that the finite element method is more close to the reality, and finite element analysis method can be well used to study the composite foundation of plain concrete piles in soft soil area of Cangzhou Qingxian. At the same time, considering the complexity of the finite element calculation, it is not widely used in the engineering practice, putting forward a correction factor, by modifying the calculation result of the standard method, we can get the result of approximate finite element, make it more close to the reality, achieve the purpose of safety, economy, reasonable and efficient.By combining with the engineering example, the model of composite foundation of plain concrete piles is established by using PLAXIS software. exploring the effect of modulus and thickness of cushion, modulus and spacing of pile on the settlement and pile-soil stress ratio of composite foundation. At the same time, considering the safety and economical efficiency of engineering, some reasonable suggestions on parameters are proposed. The achievements can provide reference for the design and calculation of similar composite foundation engineering in this area.At last, the paper summarizes the research results and the exciting problems, atthe same time, further research work on the composite foundation of plain concrete piles is prospected.
