Owing to the limit of rocket carrying space and the large dimensions of the manned lunar vehicle, it brings great challenges to the transport of the manned lunar, deployable technology became one of the key technologies of manned lunar rover, which can reduce the rocket carrying costs, and significantly improve launch success. Moreover, the overseas launch of planetary rover has small folded-deployed ratio. To solve this problem, this paper has studied the foldable-deployable mechanism of manned lunar rover, and put forward a foldable-deployable mechanism with large folded-deployed ratio, specific working include the following aspects:(1)Based on the Four-bar linkage suspension of lrv, the Five-bar deployable mechanism and Four-bar deployable mechanism are put forward, determining the size of the unfolding mechanism of parameters. Deployable mechanism of drive scheme is proposed.The Five-bar and Four-bar deployable mechanism were simulated by use of Adams software and verify the deploying period whether can come true successfully. The folded-deployed ratio is got by the displacement curves. The velocity and acceleration curves are obtained, and then analyses the influences to the rover.(2)Put forward the RRR,RPR chassis configuration, which adapt to the suspension. Designed the hinge connection structure and locking mechanism. In comprehensive consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of lunar rover movement type and the number of wheels for manned lunar rover mission. The vehicle configurations was put forward.(3)The main structure of the suspension of the Five-bar and Four-bar deployable mechanism were designed by use of Solidworks software, including the suspension with bar?the hinge?locking mechanism. Proposed the fixed type of the folding suspension and the deploy methods of the folding suspension.(4)Firstly, static analysis of manned lunar rover on loaded state was carried out. Then, the finite element analysis model of suspension was established. Deformation results of the static analysis was given to test and verify the structural strength can satisfies the requirement of task The modal analysis of suspension was carried out. Natural frequency and mode shapes charts were worked out to provide reference for the selection of engineering vibration frequency interval.
