With the rapid development of LED technology, LED lighting have been widely applied in home, road, industrial and commercial and so on. During cooperating with enterprise, some problems on product lifetime testing have been found, such as too long test time, commonly ignoring influence of LED drive power on whole lamp when adopting the lifespan of lighting source as the one of the whole LED lamp. To solve these problems, based on the LED drive power located in the interior as the separate research object, lifetime testing technology of LED drive power was researched. The works have been mainly completed as follows.Aimed at the weak foundation of temperature stress accelerated degradation test for the target LED product, it analyzed performance degradation mechanism of the key components in the circuit, especially the influence of temperature on the components, and also analyzed the performance parameters which could characterize the degradation of drivers in PSpice simulation environment.Through comparative study of the several kinds of accelerated degradation test schemes, aimed at the LED drivers, it presented experiments scheme of temperature Step Stress Accelerated Degradation Test(SSADT). Restricted by test cost, it designed an optimum scheme considering test stress, test time and sample number etc.Aimed at the specifications and performance degradation characteristics of actual LED drive power, the experiment platform was built to monitor performance degradation parameters. According to experiment data, it determined the stress in normal working state and performance parameters characterizing the degradation.Based on regression model for performance analysis and description of power supply, it built degradation model and acceleration model. According to quantitative calculation, it evaluated the performance degradation of LED drive power, and obtained lifetime prediction value and reliability curve.The developed system of LED drive power performance degradation parameters test and presented method of temperature step stress accelerated degradation test can predict the effective lifetime for LED drive power in a shorter time, and the presented scheme provides a reference for predicting the lifetime of whole LED lamp.
