| China has a large and rapidly increasing elderly population base that shows a high aging trend. At the same time,the tendency of miniaturization families and the phenomenon of empty-nested leads lonely aged people increased year by year.The existing facilities and services can not meet the needs of the elderly Social Security and pension services. Institutional care will eventually become an important supporting part of pension service system.Nursing home outdoor activities space offer an expanded place for elder people to enjoy various types of activities,that is an important part of the living environment of the elderly. Entertaining, spontaneous outdoor activities and most social activities are all depend on the quality of outdoor space.Therefore,the pros and cons of outdoor space for nursing home for the elderly shows a special significance that different from the past. According to many researches, we found that most of the nursing home outdoors space landscape design neglect taking into account the physiological behavior of the elderly, psychological behavior.What’s more,Simplified Landscape patterns,unreasonable spatial layouts,detail design features activities neglect of older persons and so on are all existing issues.Beijing is a typical aging city, with a concentrated population, rich social resources, prominent pension contradictions and typical climatic characteristics features, nursing home landscape space for outdoor activities should be improved immediately. Thus,the thesis take nursing homes in Beijing as the main research object,exploring the nursing home outdoor space landscape design which accord with the characteristics of the elderly physical, psychological and behavioral activities.First of all, the thesis summarized the aging characteristics in China and introduced research status at home and abroad,clarified the meaning, purpose and framework.Secondly, writer defined the main concepts in the thesis, conducted field survey and questionnaire interviews that combined of environment behavior, landscape architecture, geriatric psychology and other related theories.By summarized the result of survey,the thesis analyzed the problems and causes of nursing home outdoor activities space.Again, the thesis was based on the landscape discipline itself,regarded elderly activities as the starting point of research,proposed appropriate measures from the landscape mode, the space is divided, detail design, and other aspects,put safety, location, and communication into normal design strategy,penetrated them into all levels of nursing home outdoor space landscape design. Finally, through a combination of theory and practice, the thesis took relevant measures in Beijing Taishenxianghe International nursing home outdoor space optimized design, and made summary of the full text. |
