It often occurs that due to the large upper load the cross-sectional size of the transfer beam is very big in the frame-supported short-leg shell wall structures. The transfer beam with big size is not conducive to the effective use of architectural space, it also brings about the wasting of the building materials. So decreasing the cross-sectional size of the transfer beam gets more and more attention. The transfer beam optimizations of inclined column transferring and the haunch transferring that we team study can solve the questions. Our team's previous research mostly focused on the experiments and finite element analysis of the frame-supported short-leg shell wall substructures and we have already made a lot of achievements.Based on our team's research, this paper studies the mechanical performance of the structures(two-dimensional model) by using the finite element software ABAQUS. First, I make the vertical static analysis of the structures. According to the analysis of stress distribution of concrete, reinforced stress distribution, concrete damage and crack development situation, I summarize and compare the characteristics and laws of the stress, damage and crack development situation in the frame-supported short-leg shell wall structures with different angles. Then I make the nonlinear static analysis of the structures. According to the analysis of the load-displacement curve, the floor displacement curve, the floor displacement angle curve and the yield damage response of the structures, I summarize and compare the effects on the mechanical performance of the frame-supported short-leg shell wall structures with the inclined column or the inclined column only in the medial of the transfer beam. Finally, I make the dynamic analysis of the structures. According to the analysis of the floor displacement, the floor displacement angle, the floor acceleration and the stress and damage situation of the structures, I summarize and compare the effects on the seismic mechanical performance of the frame-supported short-leg shell wall structures with the inclined column or the inclined column only in the medial of the transfer beam.According to the above analysis the following conclusions can be drawn, the inclined column decreases the cross-sectional size of the transfer beam and the quantity of reinforcement, improves the lateral stiffness of the transition layer and the capacity of the structure, decreases the seismic response of the structure, improves the vertical irregularity of the structure and optimizes the seismic performance of the structure. According to the above analysis, the following design recommendations on the transfer beam optimization with inclined column can be drawn. The angle of the inclined column(The angle between the inclined Column and the transfer beam) should be greater than 30° taking into account of the construction convenience in the actual projects. And we'd better choose the method of the inclined column symmetrically under the transfer beam and avoid the use of the method of the inclined column only inside the transfer beam.
