At present, the product demand for pyrotechnic is growing and the quality requirements is also increasing highly in China.With the rapid development and procession of automation technology, it has been used in various industries.According to the actual situation of China pyrotechnics production, automated production applied to the pyrotechnic charge industry is relatively late The pyrotechnic charge technology studied in this paper has many features, such as the difficult crafts, high production requires, low degree of automation and the unsafety factor in production process. So it studied a pyrotechnic charge control system to improve the quality and the efficiency of the pyrotechnic charge.Firstly, it analyzed the charge craft of control object detail to obtain that the two parts of powder loading are vibration material and freefall consolidate. So it analyzed the static and dynamic characteristics of particulate matter and the production requirement of charge device to obtain that the control target of the control system was the bulk height of the powder in the metal tube getting stable height after consolidating. it has been got the specific production process of charge powder and designed the overall framework of contorl system. Arounding the control target has been obtained that the main control model was the relationship between the consolidating height and the bulk height. According to analysising the research status of particulate matter acquired the it han been hard to establish a precise mathematical model between the consolidating height and the bulk height. Analysising the compaction process obtained that what happens the relationship between consolidating height and the bulk height because of the different of the powder accumulation initial state, which is the two difficulties of designing the control system. It used data-driven method to solve the first difficulty for design the control algorithm, for the second difficulty using the discrete element numerical software to simulate the operational status of powder in compaction process, the purpose wan looking for the relationship between consolidating height and the bulk height. According to the simulation results found adaptive control method can achieve better control effect. Therefore, it has been used model-free adaptive control method design the control system.According to the theoretical study and practical application of model-free adaptive control method selected SISO systems based on tight format to design control algorithm, and built a control algorithm model in Simlink and verified the simulation of the control algorithm, and the control system works well. Then it uesd PLC as the control core to recive logic control device of the charge device, it used Device Net fieldbus technology to achieve the collection and transmission of remote signal and the centralized control of the devices, A touch screen uesd as the PC to realize the modify of process parameters and monitor job status and to achieve the software and hardware design of control systems.At last, at the Chongqing University and a company co-designed pyrotechnic charge equipment to complete the application control system, Compared and analysised the data producted from the production to find that the pyrotechnic charge control system can make the charge system produte automationly, and the control effect is effective and the system is stable and meet project requirements.
