The research of the steam generator vertical support casting is an important part of key equipment steam generators in nuclear power plant support structure, directly or indirectly affect nuclear safety. Therefore, the quality of the casting made a higher demand.The casting material selection 12MDV6, the corresponding domestic brands is ZG12 MnMo V manganese- molybdenum- vanadium alloy steel, carbon steel casting belong. Due to the large size of the casting structure gradient and makes casting molding more difficult, prone to casting defects, reducing the casting quality, it will affect the safe use of nuclear power plants, and gave enterprises greater economic losses.This research combined with practical production needs, the first details of the original process plan castings, and use AnyCasting software to the original process scheme numerical simulation analysis to predict the location and type of casting defects that may arise, and the plant trial conducted Comparative analysis of the causes of casting defects obtained. Proposed process improvement program; orthogonal test method uses the program for improving the process parameters were optimized and obtain the optimal combination of process parameters; for process optimization numerical simulation analysis,and production-proven, the trial results showed that the quality of castings can meet customer acceptance requirements; use of CAFE method, the influence of nucleation parameters and superheat on ZG12 MnMo V cast microstructure, simulation and experimental results show that with the increase of nucleation parameters and superheat,the grain radius increases and trend; combined with practical production situation,formulate a reasonable metal melting process and casting methods, in order to improve the quality of casting the foundation; the influence of material composition on the casting welding performance, through testing to determine the reasonable welding processparameters improve casting yields and economic benefits of the plant; ultrasonic testing requirements for casting and choose a reasonable detection parameters are analyzed and detected waveform corresponding to the type of defect to solve the casting ultrasonic testing bottomless wave reflection problems.
