| Today, every automotive company is expanding his production scale, as a result, the whole industrial division is being deeply refined. How to quickly and efficiently manage the production quality of all supply chains has become the key point of automotive quality control and is also closely concerned by supply chains managers. Based on this background, the G automotive company demanded his supply chains to enhance the cosmetic perceived quality of exterior painting components, such as orange peel. For most component enterprises, the evaluation of perceived quality of appearance still depends on visual observation; the subjectivity of various auditors make the evaluation difficult to manage. In addition, the new cosmetic perceived quality standard require products with narrower specification tolerances. To meet the new standard, the supplier should improve the spraying process or upgrade facilities. However, the competition of auto industry is stiff, and it will bring big cost pressure to improve the entire process, so G company has to find another breakthrough to handle meet the new standard. On the basis of the current orange peel visual appearance evaluation method, the author of this paper used digitized evaluation approach, which can simulate visual evaluation better and reduce the subjective errors. First, based on the digitized quality data of orange-peel, analysis each single factor which affects the orange-peel quality by using the OFAT(One Fact at one time) method, to observe the influence of every single factor on the orange peel quality; The second step, using the C&E(Cause & Effect) matrix to filter all factors, and three key factors were selected: clear coating viscosity and flow rate, flow leveling time; The third step, tryout the two levels of three factors orthogonal test, to find out optimal combination and importance sequence; Finally, verifying the optimal level of factors in the fascia painting line of Y company to confirm these key factors, and pushing Y company improving his paint process and facilities to achieve the target in advance. |
