The Xi-Kang railway crossing in Qin Ba mountainous was affected seriously by the high and steep slope landslide hazard which was caused by regional environment. So,to carry out the assessment and treatment of high and steep slope landslide along Xikang railway is meanful to guarantee the safety of the mountain railway.The Xi-Kang railway is choosed as research object in the paper. Field survey was carried out on the characteristics of environment,type and distribution of landslide hazard along the line. The common methods of hazard assessment, hazard evaluation and risk assessment are summarized and analyzed,The comprehensive index discrimination method based on geological conditions of the disaster factor and the risk assessment matrix are used to evaluate the 3 landslide hazard.Based on the assessment of geological hazard,Some suggestions for engineering measures were put forward.Through research, the following main conclusions are obtained:(1) In the mountainous area of the Qin Ba mountain area, the environmental characteristics of the disaster such as landform, hydrology, geological structure, and new tectonic movement are the basic conditions for the occurrence of collapse disaster.(2) Based on analysis of the mechanism, origin of the typical sites of avalanche disaster and combining with the actual situation of Engineering, Comprehensive index discrimination method based on the geological conditions of disaster factors was put forward and applied to The evaluation method of the hazard self severity and the risk assessment,And then the risk assessment matrix and rank division were established.(3) disaster points were analysed and the assessment results show that the risk of 3 disaster points are high risk, high risk and high risk, which must be sorted out.(4)Based on the risk assessment of 3 collapsing disasters along the project and engineering characteristics. Three kinds of regulation schemes are proposed, which are the slope of small stone, the shallow layer of the slope, the reinforcement of the active and passive network, the protection of the slope reinforcement, the protection of the hole and the reinforcement of the slope,(5) Through the observation of the regulation plan, the control effect of the treatment plan is very obvious.
