Research objects of this paper are Concrete filled steel tubular(CFST) column to H-shape steel beam joints in the T2 tower of C hongqing Shuion project. Experimental performance and finite element analysis(FEA) of 6 joints with different connections are researched in this paper. Connection forms include vertical T-stiffener connection, internal-external diaphragm, flange plate through the column, flange plate partly through the column and so on. The main research work is as follows:(1) The experiment of two concrete-filled circular steel tube(CFT) column to H-shape steel beam joints with vertical T-stiffener were carried out, including a static specimen and a seismic specimen. The seismic experiment of one CFT column to H-shape steel beam joint with internal-external diaphragm was carried out. Load-displacement curve, moment-rotation curve, stress distributions of beams and the failure characteristic of specimen were obtained through static experiment. The failure mode and ultimate bearing capacity of specimen were analyzed. stress development process of steel tube in joint core region, the horizontal load to horizontal displacement hysteretic curve, moment-rotation curve and failure characteristic were obtained through the seismic experiment. The failure mode, ductility, the energy absorption capacity, stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of specimens were analyzed. ABAQUS was used to simulate the specimens. The results from experiment and FEM are in good agreement.(2) The experiment of two concrete- filled rectangular steel tube(RCFT) column to H-shape steel beam joints with flange plate through the column were carried out, including a static specimen and a seismic specimen. The seismic experiment of one RCFT column to H-shape steel beam joint with flange plate partly through the column was carried out. Load-displacement curve, moment-rotation curve, stress distributions of beams and the failure characteristic of specimen were obtained through static experiment. The failure mode and ultimate bearing capacity of specimen were analyzed. stress development process of steel tube in joint core region, the horizont al load to horizontal displacement hysteretic curve, moment-rotation curve and failure characteristic were obtained through the seismic experiment. The failure mode, ductility, the energy absorption capacity, stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of spec imens were analyzed. ABAQUS was used to simulate the specimens. The results from experiment and FEM are in good agreement.(3) The experiment of two RCFT column to H-shape steel beam joints with vertical T-stiffener were carried out, including a static spec imen and a seismic specimen. The seismic experiment of one RCFT column to H-shape steel beam joint with partly vertical T-stiffener was carried out. Load-displacement curve, moment-rotation curve, stress distributions of beams and the failure characteristic of specimen were obtained through static experiment.
