Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has simple structure, high mechanical strength, high power factor, small magnetic air gap, armature reaction is strong,suitable for high-speed operation, excellent performance, especially suitable for used as the drive motor for electric vehicles. And the demand of long endurance of electric vehicles put forward a high demand on the efficiency of motor drive system, this paper is to study the optimization of the efficiency of the motor drive system from the angle of control strategy.The specific contents of this paper are as follows:(1) The basic structure and working principle of IPMSM are introduced, and its mathematical model is derived, and the research status of IPMSM control strategy is introduced, and the specific ideas of efficiency optimization of IPMSM system loss power are analyzed.(2) According to the requirements of the electric vehicle endurance, this paper studies the Maximum Torque Per Ampere(MTPA) control system of IPMSM based on the efficiency optimization as the control target of the IPMSM drive system. The IPMSM control system simulation model is built by using Matlab/Simulink simulation tool, and the effectiveness of the MTPA control strategy is verified by simulation, and the further measures are needed to analyze the shortage of MTPA control.(3) Considering the operation range of the IPMSM full speed, make full use of the reluctance torque of the IPMSM. In the traditional efficiency optimization control algorithm based on fully considered for the analysis of copper consumption, iron loss and stray loss and consider secondary compensation parameters change, new Loss Minimization Control(LMC) strategy is proposed and the practical application of Engineering simplification, taking into account the efficiency optimization of the engineering accuracy and simplicity.(4) Analysis and comparison of the above two control strategies efficiency optimization effect, the IPMSM efficiency optimization of the engineering application of the new control strategy algorithm.In this paper, the efficiency optimization control strategy of the IPMSM drive system for electric vehicle is studied, and the MTPA control strategy and LMC strategy based on the vector control system are studied. The review on the basis of the existing research results, combined with Matlab/Simulink simulation, aimed at the practical problems in the course of the study, the theoretical analysis, the feasible control scheme was proposed in this paper. Finally verified by simulation again. Provide theoretical support for the application of energy saving and consumption reduction of IPMSM drive system for electric vehicle.
