The national aviation develops rapidly and the airport’ throughput is rising, the pressure of air traffic control increases. Airport surface surveillance is an important part of the airport control tower. The ability of airport surface surveillance has a direct impact on airport transportation capacity.Measuring technique based on stereo-vision is a computer vision technology. It has advantages such as low cost, simple structure. It is used in many fields such as the micro-system, attitude control, military shooting, and robot navigation. The establishment and calibration of camera model are important for measurement system based on stereo-vision.The systems of airport surface surveillance technology currently in use are introduced, and the value and feasibility of binocular measurement system applied in the airport scene monitoring are analyzed.A mathematical model of the binocular measurement system is settled up. Then the calibration parameters are simplified. The results accomplished by changing calibration equations of rotation angle and pitch angle are derived. Next, through subtle mathematical calculation, three calibration methods are forwarded. According to the particularity of the binocular intersection system, a measuring method is improved. Three dimensional calibration and binocular intersection measuring under simple calibration method is the most important contents.
