Research On The Government Supervision Mechanism Of Highway Engineering Safety

With the increasing numbers of highway engineering projects,the safety issue of high way engineering has been in the limelight of public attention in recent years. As the gover nment department that responsible for this safety, its management ability level is more an d more important to secure the projects.This thesis is trying to explore the ways to improv e the government supervision management mechanism of highway engineering project’s s afety based on several related experiences from abroad. Through documentary analysis, th e paper summarized the basic situation of government supervision management both at ho me and abroad from the perspectives of department settings, regulatory authority, and prob lem-solving methods. Through comparative analysis, the paper suggested a new way to im prove government management level including how to encourage enterprises to join in ma nagement mechanism, how to take advantage of marketing industry’s self-management abi lity, how to promote new safety supervision ways with the help of society power, how to p ut emphasis on safety issue in the period of bid-inviting, and how to spread safer construct ion techniques. Through research based on real cases of an ecotourism road in Mufu moun tian of Xianning city, the thesis put the above-mentioned analysis into practice, and creat e an assumption to find out the advantage and disadvantage of government supervision ma nagement process, and then give more suggestions to strengthen the reliability of the resea rch.
