Entry guidance approach is always a hot issue among scholars for it is a key technology in flight control of vehicle when it entries atmosphere. Based on the hypersonic glide vehicle, deep analysis and strong validation which is focused on three-dimensional acceleration profile guidance for atmospheric entry are developed in this paper.Firstly, a three-dimensional entry flight corridor model is developed based on the analysis of path constraints. Considering on the drawback of traditional method on landing footprint calculation, investigate another approach on footprint computation with proposed trajectory generation algorithm. Secondly, based on the drag profile generation planner and footprint calculation, the quasi-three-dimensional acceleration guidance for atmosphere entry is planned. Comparing to the traditional shuttle entry guidance, a breakthrough of this method is independent on the planned angle of attack profile when designing a standard trajectory profile. And all control variables are obtained by tracking the designed quasi-three dimensional acceleration profile. At last, a detailed discussion on three-dimensional guidance for atmosphere entry is developed. Different from the quasi-three dimensional one, the two profile of three-dimensional guidance profile, drag acceleration profile and lateral guidance profile are developed simultaneously but constrained each other.Considering on the work of this paper, a wider field on the study of the shuttle entry guidance is opened up. And with the addition profile on the traditional one, some new thoughts on drag profile designation, trajectory generation and entry guidance are explored. It will be significant on the development of entry guidance, especially the guidance based on the nominal trajectory.
