Energy harvesting technology has a broad application prospect in miniaturization and practical of wireless sensor technology. The piezoelectric energy is high in energy densities and particularly attractive in MEMS for its relatively simple configuration, which makes it the most promised one.In order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional energy harveser, broaden the frequency range of the energy harvester, improve the efficiency of mechanical and electrical transformation and increase the energy harvesting power, this paper puts forward a new nonlinear low frequency piezoelectric vibration energy harvester, which is composed of the coupled asymmetric cantilever beams, two permanent magnets and mass blocks are fixed on the tips.(1)This paper introduces the background of energy harvesting and the research status in material and structure, interface circuit and storage application technology.(2)The basic knowledge of piezoelectric is introduced, which comprises the piezoelectric effect of the piezoelectric materials, piezoelectric equations, piezoelectric constants and the cantilever vibration energy harvester and its theoretical analysis is also introduced. On the basis of the cantilever vibration energy harvester, the new nonlinear piezoelectric vibration energy harvester with magnetic force is proposed.(3)We set up the model of two permanent magnets and calculated the magnetic coupling force, and the asymmetric cantilever beams can be conventionally modeled as second order mass-spring-damper systems with newton's laws of motion, finally the harvester was simulated by the Matlab/Simulink.(4)The structure is made and the experimental platform is built to investigate the performance of the harvester.(5)Last we design the power management based on the LTC3588-1 and test it.Simulation and experimental results show that the harvester has the advantages of resonant frequency tuning and frequency up conversion. The power management based on LTC3588-1 has a stable output voltage.
