The variable speed rotor has an important influence on the performance and vibratory of the helicopter. In order to improve the performance of the helicopter, optimum speed rotor is a research focus. Through the theoretical, optimum speed rotor can reduce the required power in the process of the work. But change the rotor speed, it will greatly increase the complexity of the structure dynamics. So it will help the design of the rotor blade and hub put forward higher requirements. This article explores the structure design of variable speed rigid rotor system, designs the blade model with high stiffness and light weigh, and designs the hingeless hub model. The model blade has three airfoils and negative twist with sharp cutting geometry shape. The internal structure design with carbon fiber and glass fiber skin, carbon fiber "C" type girder, foam core and so on. The central hub bearing the centrifugal force and bending loads, and the flexible sheet also bearing the bending loads. Then the strength and stiffness of the rotor are checked and the structure is optimized. Final the model is processed, and the rotor performance with vibration loads are studied.Wind tunnel testing was performed at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Performance and vibratory hub loads measurements were taken at a range of reduced rotor speeds. The change law of the load in the test was analyzed with theoretical knowledge. In addition, this paper analyzes the section load of the rotor blade profile by using the integrated model of the rotor.
