Psychomotor-based Research Of The Measurement Of Alertness

Unsafe acts of people have been able to cause an accident based on the following principle: flight operation need relative high cognitive ability, at which point the crew has poor alertness resulting to increased human error. At the same time if the accident hazards caused by human error occurred with greater severity, accident may happen. So we can start from the controllable variables, increasing the pilot's alertness to prevent the occurrence of air accidents.First the main factors that effect alertness and the related measurements research of alertness was contrasted and summarized. The measurement methods are divided into categories to predict alertness measurement, real-time measurement and review class category alertness measuring three categories. Comparing alertness measurement method, all of them can be divided into three categories: predictive alertness measurement, real-time measurement and review alertness measurement. The actual flight environment is very complex, so prediction method does not adequate to assess the pilot's alertness level. Review alertness measurement is always full of subjectivity, and generally carried out after the end of the mission, at which point the pilots are often not able to accurately recall the past awareness of a particular moment.so review measurement is also not able to attract enough attention.Real-time measurement is more consistent with alertness assessment. Implemented in many alertness measurement method, psychomotor ability test based on visual reaction time is more in line with the actual operating environment needs, and has the quality of easy operation, accurate measurement, easy to carry. Correlation analysis, Pearson variance homogeneity test and other method is used to analysis the psychomotor ability test result,optimize the existing research results and thus establish a more simple and effective method to measure psychomotor ability. Application that available for Android phones was developed to specific alertness measurement.Research of alertness measurement provides data support and technical support for China's civil aviation flight safety management.
