Real-time power system simulation system is the primary means to study the mechanism of power system and to ensure its safe and stable operation. However, with the development of smart grid, micro-grid, active distribution grids, distributed energy, flexible HVDC, electric vehicles and other technologies at all, the grid is moving in diversified and complicated, non-traditional direction. The traditional single simulation has become increasingly difficult to meet their needs. Therefore, it's meaningful to develop more powerful real time digital-analog hybrid simulation system that combines the advantages of digital simulation and physical simulation. This paper studies the principle and mathematical model of the real time analog-digital simulation systems. The accuracy evaluation has been proposed in the real time digital-analog hybrid simulation. The paper has analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the five existing algorithms. The improved algorithm based on the ideal transformer model is focused on. Simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively improve system stability region. In this paper, the credibility of transient simulation methods has been studied. In this paper, the digital to analog connector which is the core equipment in the real time digital-analog hybrid simulation has been modeled. Simulation results show that the implementation of digital to analog connector feasible to meet the high capacity, high accuracy and high real-time requirements. Real time digital-analog hybrid simulation has been implemented in software, hardware, and dynamic simulation test. The effectiveness of the system has been proved by contrast with the all-digital simulation experiment. The system stability, timeliness and accuracy meet the modern power system hybrid simulation requirements. The system has completed a grid fault reproduction and new energy equipment testing proof of good practicability. In this paper, the DC component problems are studied in real-time digital-analog hybrid simulation system. The DC component causes, the elimination of hazards and the general method of generating have been analyzed. Because of the applications of Real time digital-analog hybrid simulation system, hybrid simulation of a voltage drop of recognition has been proposed. The simulation results show the validity of the method.
