With railway constant acceleration at home and abroad and lack of technique during the production process, the fatigue damage is a serious potential threaten to CRH's operation safety and limits the development of rail transit in China. The detection technology of CRH's fatigue researched in this paper has significant implication for research, economy and engineering.The system mainly consists of two parts, hardware and software. Hardware includes four main parts: A dual-core ultrasonic testing(UT) module based on the PowerPC and FPGA; EPOS motor control module based on CAN bus; a probe module consists of eight channels of different types of sensors; Oil pump. After analyzing performance of devices at home and abroad, the paper studies the technology of data collection, ultrasonic compensation, communication based on the TCP and UDP protocol, improving equipment disadvantages of low precision, complicated operations, poor compatibility, and low-level integration. Software mainly consists of user's software and algorithm core based on the MATLAB. It studies model building, image processing, intelligent recognition technology for displaying in real-time and off-line way and accurately judging the defect type,location and other related information and intellectualism, solving the problem of low efficiency of the existing equipment, low reliability.The CRH hollow axle ultrasonic testing system illustrated by this paper has been verified after installation, debugging and data accumulation. Through the feedback parameters and data for on-spot workshop, the CRH hollow axle ultrasonic detection system has outstanding characters such as easy debugging and installation, high precision and low false negative and false, cheap cost, easy to use,saving time and manpower. Not only that, there are advantages of friendly users' software, easy operation and direct display. As a result, data processing algorithm can effectively realize detection function, satisfying the demands of railway locomotives and hollow shaft producers' industrial index.
