Carbon dioxide is one of the most important gas in scientific research and our daily life, has received more and more attention, meantime the demand of carbon dioxide detection technology is also gradually increased. As a rising gas detection technology,TDLAS has many advantages, such as high sensitivity, high reliability,non-loss detection, strong anti-jamming capability and can work in severe environment.TDLAS technology has a very good application prospect. In this paper,a deep theoretical basic analysis is made about TDLAS gas detection technology, and a relative research is made about the theory of gas absorption spectrum and absorption line function. And the wavelength modulation and harmonic detection technology are analyzed in theory. The realization of the TDLAS technology is explained theoretically in this section, which provide the theory basis for the practical application of TDLAS technology for gas detection.Based on the discussion about the theory of the TDLAS technology,a complete simulation work is realized, and each link of the process of TDLAS gas detection simulation is researched deeply. The hardware platform simulation work is also completed in this paper.Under the guidance of the theory and simulation, appropriate tunable semiconductor lasers, photoelectric detector and phase-locked amplifier device is selected. This paper design a complete carbon dioxide gas detection system, including some related circuits and optical structure. Finally some experiment about the detection of standard concentration carbon dioxide gas is carried out,the performance indicators of carbon dioxide gas detection system based on TDLAS are analyzed in detail.
