With the rapid development of road traffic construction,demand for asphalt is also growing.For transportation,the asphalt carrier is indispensable.During the progress,a totally different new form takes shape called independent-cargo-tank type asphalt carrier.In this paper,the structural strength of the independent-cargo-tank type asphalt carrier is studied,especially yield strength and buckling strength.The influence of temperature stress caused by high temperature of the asphalt cannot be ignored.So in the structural strength calculation,not only the carrier self-weight,cargo load,outside water pressure and the bending moment at the ends of the compartment model-just as those ordinary liquid carriers-should be considered,but also the temperature load caused by asphalt,sea water and air.The formation of the temperature field of the finite element model is associated with the environment temperature,but environment temperature is unknown right now.So iterative calculation method is used to determine the environment temperature in the areas of the hull.And the temperature field is confirmed on the base,so as to finally get the temperature load.The cargo load,outboard static water pressure,wave load and temperature load are applied on the cabin model,and yield results of the structure under different loading conditions are calculated.The layout of the independent tank was modified to obtain the other two structures.The yield strength was also calculated for those two,and the yield results of all three structures were compared.Based on the results of yield strength,buckling strength is calculated for the main compression areas(such as deck,bottom,side shell and strong frame structure)in the hull structure.The buckling results of the three types of structures are compared and analyzed.By analyzing the results of yield and buckling,the differences of the effect on main components of the hull under different calculation conditions are learnt.The impact of the different structural forms on the yield and buckling strength of the independent-cargo-tank are shown more clearly.
