Recently, the research and application of the solar energy have attracted more and more attention because of the rising energy crisis and various problems derived from it all over the world. Due to the high cost in silicon solar cells, the third-generation thin-fillm solar cells have been well investigated for a long time. As one typical example of third-generation thin-fillm solar cells. Dye-sensitized Solar Cell ?DSSC? has become a research hotspot because of its advantages, such as rich materials, low fabrication cost, simple preparation process and higher photo-electric conversion efficiency. As a basic electron transport material, the modification of the nano-crystalline titanium dioxide would have remarkable influence on the performance of the solar cell. Moreover, the replacement of the dye, i.e., the light-absorbing layer in DSSC, is a very important way to improve the performance of the solar cell. Some inorganic compounds, such as CdTe? CuInxGa1-xSe2?CIGS?? Cu2ZnSnS4 ?CZTS??Sb2Se3 for the light-absorbing layer, have been well investigated, and some important results on improving the performance of the solar cell have been achieved. In this thesis, we firstly fabricate DSSC with stable efficiency by the conventional preparation processes. Then, we study the possibility of the replacement for the dye by CZTS nanoparticles prepared by the sol-gel method. The processes of Sb2Se3 nanoparticles prepared by the hot-injection method are also well investigated. The main content of this thesis are as follows:First, the scattering layer was fabricated on the conductive glass substrate by sol-gel dip-coating method for the stable and high efficiency conventional DSSC. And the effect of the modification of the nanocrystalline TiO2 photoanode by the butyl titanate sol was investigated. Practically, the cell with photoanode modified by butyl titanate sol presents higher light-electric conversion efficiency.Second, based on the preparation process of the conventional DSSC, the photo-anode material absorbed by CZTS nanoparticles were prepared by dip-coating method. The effect of the sol with different CZTS concentration on the photoelectric properties of the photoabsortion material had been well investigated. As a result, the efficiency of the cell, in which the porous nano-crystalline titanium dioxide layer was absorbed by the CZTS nanoparticles, can be obviously obtained. Furthermore, the CZTS nanoparticles by the SILAR method have obvious influence the properties of the cell.Last, after successing to obtain the TiO2 photoanode with CZTS nanoparticles, the preparation processes of Sb2Se3 nanoparticles preparated by hot-injection method were investigated by changing reaction temperature and time. The experimental results indicated that Sb2Se3 with small particles can be obtained by hot-injection method.
