Development And Application Research Of The Combustion And Emission Analysis System In Internal Combustion Engines

With the enhancement of the people consciousness of environment protection and energy conservation,internal combustion engine not only require a better fuel economy,but also a lower emission in our country.The fuel economy and exhaust emissions of engine depend on the process of organizing combustion.In order to research the combustion characteristics in the working process with internal combustion engines,we designed and developed a combustion emissions and analysis system in this paper.We can study the combustion process and emission characteristic effectively utilizing this system.Therefore,we can provide reference and guidance to improving the fuel economy and reducing emissions for internal combustion engines.The system is combination with two main parts,hardware and software.Hardware contains cylinder pressure sensor,charge-amplifier,optical-electricity encoder,data acquisition card and PC,which can collect and transmit the cylinder pressure signal,engine speed signal,crank angle signal and the engine working parameters.The software is designed based on LabVIEW.It has data collection module,TDC adjustment module,mean value treatment module,indicator diagram fairing module,combustion analysis module,speed capture module and exhaust analysis module.It can calculate the instantaneous heat release rate,cumulative heat release,in-cylinder temperature,pressure rise rate,ignition and burning completion moment and combustion duration.The user interface of the application is very clean,so it is very easy to use.In order to verify the practicability and reliability of this system,compare the system running results with existing combustion and emission analyzer.It was indicated that the design of the system has reached the anticipated goal from the systematic operation result.This system can be used as a powerful tool in the research of combustion and emissions characteristics.Finally,this paper analyzes the data of combustion and pollutant emission with YC4D20 diesel.Study shows that,this system is practical and effective using in the practical combustion and emissions analysis.It makes the combustion and emissions analysis low-cost,system flexibility and function variety,which means it has high engineering values.
