Design Of Statistics Platform For Vessel Traffic Flow Characteristics Based On AIS Data

With the rapid development of shipping industry,the number of ships is increasing,and the traffic environment is becoming more and more complex.The research on the characteristics of ship traffic flow is of great significance to reduce the maritime accidents and ensure the safety of maritime traffic.The traditional ship traffic flow characteristics are mainly based on vision and radar.The integrity of ship information and the accuracy of data processing are poor,and the work is time-consuming.With the popularity of automatic identification system(AIS),vessel traffic flow characteristic of statistical research has entered the era of big data.For the maritime traffic basic data from AIS survey statistics processing,can obtain more objective than traditional observation method,rich features of traffic flow data,and can be further in-depth excavation of the ship in some waters risk data,set up traffic flow theory model provide the basis data.Based on the existing research results,the characteristics of ship traffic flow are studied,and the statistical platform of ship traffic flow characteristics is built,realized statistical module and data visualization.This paper studied the characteristics of the traffic flow,which can extract information from the AIS ship traffic volume,ship density,ship track,ship speed,ship arrival law,ship spacing,traffic flow,traffic capacity,ship domain,collision avoidance behavior and encounter rate and other traffic flow characteristics.Among them,the functions of the five modules,such as the ship traffic volume,the ship density,the ship track,the ship speed and the ship space are realized.To test the validity of the statistics platform,we use AIS data of Chengshantou waters to statistic ship traffic volume,ship density,ship track,ship speed,ship spacing and other information and achieved more satisfactory results,the effectiveness and practicability of the platform are verified.
