Current-carrying fault is a kind of external fault,which is caused by abnormal contact resistance.Considering the contact resistance and load current of some high voltage contacts are hardly to be measured,monitoring and analyzing the contacts' temperature are the main means to detect the current-carrying fault.The recent researches manly focus on signal-processing-based methods such as PCA and SVM.To some extent,they can realize the early warning and prediction of the current carrying fault,but the applicability of the algorithm and the diversity of the early warning information are still need to be improved.In order to solve these two problems,this paper makes some improvements and innovations on the aspects of data processing,data mining,model analysis.A new data preprocessing method based on the contacts' load relationship analysis,Contact information monitoring method based on equivalent resistance modeling have been proposed in this paper.After that a new on-line fault analysis system has been designed,which is more adaptable and sensitive compared with the original one.In addition,it can provide quantitative data for the maintainer.Application results on real time temperature data of high voltage contacts verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed method.
