The granite residual soil is widely distributed in the southeast of Fujian Province, which results in the residual soil slope being exposed to the natural environment. The natural soil is affected by seasonal climatic factors, and it is in a periodic cycle of dry and wet,and the change of soil moisture content and suction has a serious impact on the shear strength of slope soil, which will affect the slope stability. Therefore,it is of great scientific significance and practical significance to study the rule of soil degradation and its influence on slope stability. The southeast Fujian granite residual soil as the research object, carry out the simulation test indoor dry wet cycle,in-depth study of different number of cycles of granite residual soil shear strength attenuation law, focuses on the analysis of different water content of residual soil after different times of wetting drying cycles, the intrinsic link between the soil shear strength index, water content, the cycle number of the three. The main results are as follows:(1)The cohesion of soil has a linear negative correlation with the logarithm of water content, and the internal friction angle of soil has a linear negative correlation with water content. With the increase of water content, the cohesion and the internal friction angle of the soil decreased, and the cohesive force decreased obviously under the same condition. With the increase of water content, the degree of cohesion decreases gradually.(2)With the increase of wetting and drying cycles, the cohesion and internal friction angle of the soil decreased, and the decrease of cohesion was greater than that of the internal friction angle under the same condition. With the increase of dry wet cycles, the degree of cohesion decreases gradually.(3)The degradation of soil cohesion increases with the increase of dry wet cycles. With the increase of the number of dry wet cycles, the degree of cohesion deterioration increases gradually.
