ETFE cushion,a new form of structure element,has already achieved great developments in the new century.Researchers all over the world have made some progresses in this new kind of structure.However,the properties and failure performances of Multi-Layer ETFE cushion structure,which is usually used in realistic projects,are rarely mentioned in the existed researches.In this dissertation,finite element method(FEM)is adopted to analyze the morphology,mechanical behaviors and failure models of double-layer and triple-layer ETFE cushion structure.Details are as follows:(1)Firstly,explicit algorithm and implicit algorithm of finite element method are compared for their characteristics,which,provide theoretical basis for research.The mechanical properties and destruction of the ETFE cushion structure is analyzed by explicit finite element method.(2)Moreover,ANSYS Workbench is used to obtain the form of ETFE cushion structure by applying uniform forces,which are along the vertical direction of elements to achieve the initial shape of this structure.Then ETFE cushion structure with various numbers of layers and types of plane shapes is used to obtain the corresponding form,which verified the accuracy and applicability theory of the form-finding method.(3)Also,membrane surface stress distributions deformations under different loading conditions of double-layer and triple-layer ETFE cushion structures are compared and analyzed.Besides,the influence of upper and lower chamber air volume of triple-layer ETFE cushion structure under practical working conditions were also studied in detail,which could provide engineering design data..(4)Finally,two leakage failure conditions are simulated to achieve characteristics of internal pressure,stress distributions and deformation of ETFE cushion structure,which could provide maintenance disciplines.
