In the field of lighting optics,light emitting diode(LED)for its advantages of energy saving,small size,low heat,long life,good seismic performance gradually replaced the halogen lamps,filament lamp and other traditional sources become the upstart in illuminating area.However,with the increase and different application environments,as well as sake of LED packaging technology,general specifications illumination LED light source is difficult to meet a variety of environmental requirements,therefore,it aroused people to study the secondary design of LED light source.Such research not only proceed from the optical angle,LED lamps shape and size should also be an important factor to be considered by the designer.In this paper,the new structural lens of LED secondary light distribution is studied with the support of edge optical principle and non-imaging optics,which focus on thin lens,high luminous efficiency and small condenser angle lens and two double-Straight lens.Based on geometrical optics knowledge and optical expansion quantity conservation theory,the first order differential equation of the lens surface curve satisfying the requirements of the designer is constructed,and the high precision numerical algorithm is programmed by MATLAB software to solve the coordinate point set of the curve.Then the calculated data is exported into SolidWorks 3D modeling and the optical simulation is running in the Light Tools.The simulation results for the uniformity of the illumination and the propagation of the optical path are analyzed to determine the merits of the design.Finally,this paper chooses one of the two-sided uniform collimator lens to do the injection molding process and tests its optical performance.The first chapter introduces the development of the global LED industry in recent years,as well as the development trend of lighting design,a brief introduction to LED lightingapplications in different fields,further reflecting the urgent needs of various industries for secondary LED design.The second chapter describes the non-imaging optics,spot lighting systems,and several forms of LED secondary optical design,illustrate the advantages of various design forms.The different light distribution requirements can be satisfied by the corresponding form.The third chapter focuses on the theoretical basis of the free-form surface optics,and elaborated the methods and principles used in lens design: beam cross-sectional area and Monte Carlo method and the principle of marginal rays.Then,a brief description of the numerical algorithms used in high-precision curve surface: fourth-order Runge-Kutta equation.Then divided into four sections to descript the design methods of the thin lens,high luminous efficiency and small converging angle lens and two types of double-surface uniformly collimating lens in a more detailed way,as well as a number of factors which should be noted in the design process,At the same time,the parameters set by the design are given,which provides data support for the latter three modeling and optical simulation.The fourth chapter is the simulation and analysis of the lens design.Through the 3D modeling of SolidWorks and the optical simulation of Light Tools,the model and optical characteristics of the designed lens are obtained.The energy of the light source and the receiver are compared to illustrate the energy usage ratio of this lens.The average deviation and standard deviation of the illuminance displayed by the receiver reflect the uniformity of the luminous distribution of the lens;further changing the distance of the receiver and then comparing the average deviation of the illuminance of the receiver and the standard deviation determines the uniform collimation lens collimation light performance.In chapter 5,the injection molding of the lens is introduced.The injection molding process of the lens and the selection of the lens material are briefly described.The optical model of the lens model is tested and the test results are analyzed.
