The wave-rider inlet is a kind of forebody-inlet integrated configuration which has excellent performance. The wave-rider inlet based on inward turning basal flow has better compression ability than the wave-rider inlet based on outer cone basal flow for the convergent flow between the shock and the compression surface, which leads this kind of wave-rider inlet to good prospects for development. The performance of wave-rider inlet is relevant to inward turning basal flows and control lines in osculating axisymmetric process. This thesis studied the design method and used numerical simulation to analyze the effect of basal flows based on different Mach distribution regularities and control lines on the performance of wave-rider inlet. The design of inward turning basal flow was based on the method of characteristics(MOC).By controlling the same leading edge shock and changing the Mach gradient of basal flow's rear compression surface, the effect of basal flows on the performance of wave-rider inlet was analyzed. The flow capture curve(FCT)which were controlled by power law are important in osculating process.By changing the inclination of FCT,the performance of wave-rider inlet was analyzed. The result shows that,by lowering the Mach gradient of basal flow's rear compression surface, both the total contraction ratio and inner contraction ratio of the wave-rider inlet are decreased, the pressure rising ratio and drag are also decreased, while the starting ability of wave-rider inlet is improved, and the total pressure recovery is nearly the same.By increasing the inclination of FCT,both the mass capture coefficient and pressure rising ratio of wave-rider inlet are decreased, while the throat Mach number is increased, and the starting ability is also improved.
