For its excellent road performance,asphalt concrete has been extensively used as a major surface material in China's expressway.Due to the traffic load and natural factors,the damage of asphalt pavement will be increased gradually,which needs to be carried out in a timely manner.As for the asphalt pavement with good structure and only the surface function,it is a reasonable and economical maintenance and maintenance scheme to deal with the thin overlay.But the traditional hot mix asphalt has the problems of energy consumption,pollution and aging of asphalt,and the cold mixed material has the advantages of environmental protection,energy saving,convenient construction and so on.So using cold mix asphalt mixture surface processing will have broad prospects.At the same time,because the thickness of the thin overlay in this study is only 2 ~ 3cm,so once the road of cracking will greatly reduce the use of performance,shorten the life of the road,with greater harm.Therefore,how to improve low temperature performance of cold mix asphalt mixture has important engineering value and practical significance.According to the requirements of the ultra-thin overlay,the three kinds of mineral aggregate gradation of Novachip Type B,UTAC-10 and SMA-10 are optimized.Then,on the basis of the best oil-stone ratio,SBR latex and different fibers were in addition to improve the low temperature performance of the mixture.The results showed that SBR latex with 4% content could significantly improve the low temperature performance of the mixture.6mm long,0.3% content of sisal fiber can effectively improve the low-temperature properties of the mixture.Finally,temperature stability and water damage resistance of ultra-thin asphalt mixture after low-temperature performance are verified,and the results can meet the requirements of the specification.
