The Research For Ship Domain Based On Dynamic Water Grid Computing

Ship domain has long been regarded as one of the most effective theory in researching the traffic and the behavior of ships,and domestic and international scholars view ship domain as a hot research area.Ship domain has been widely used in the field of ensuring ship navigation safety,evaluating ship collision risk,ship collision avoidance decision-making,water traffic planning,vessel traffic safety prediction and control,Maritime traffic capacity,navigation ability,automation and intelligence of ships and other fields.The core idea of ship domain is that conferring humans' perception and behavioral pattern to the ship,and building a subjectively or objectively inviolate area around the ship.With the rapid development of shipping,ship large-scale,rapidness,specialization and automation has been continuously improved,and the density of traffic has been increased gradually,traditional research methods,such as questionnaire survey,field observation method,the radar observations and simulation methods has been difficult to meet the demand of establishing dynamic ship domain due to the cause of long time consuming in gaining the data,small sample,low automaticity.In order to meet the demand of the development of modern ship,according to the advantages of ship automatic identification system(AIS)containing the vast quantities of data and rich information of the vessel,this paper creates SQL2012 database based on AIS data to include ship static and dynamic information;using C#programming language,establishing the grid coordinate to calculate the relative distance and azimuth between ships as the way of computing the relative position coordinates;and then overlaying grid with the same length and type of the ship,statistics by means of ship frequency for the method;utilizing the data processing software MATLAB by least square method to deal with the results.Finally,for the main type of ships within the research waters comparing and analyzing the different scales of ship domain,and discussing the different type of ship domain slightly,concluded the characteristics of ship domain in open sea area.
