The TiO2 nanoparticles were used as the photoanode of traditional dye-sensitized solar cells?DSSCs?,the conversion efficiency of which is usually low due to its easy carrier recombination,and the mismatch between its absorption spectrum and the solar spectrum,etc.However,the ZnO based photoanodecan reduce cost and eliminate electron recombination.Besides,the absorption of visible light can be enhanced by Eosin-Y as sensitizer.In this paper,we prepared the Al-doped ZnO?AZO?nanorods by chemical bath deposition?CBD?,and used tetrabutyl titanate?TBOT?and Na2S to treat the AZO nanorods.The microstructure and morphology of AZO nanorods and the photoelectric properities of DSSCs were investigated during the assembling process of Eosin-Y sensitized AZO nanorod solar cell.The main results are as follows:1.The AZO nanorods were grown on AZO conductive substrates by CBD.We explored the effects of the concentration of Al?NO3?3·9H2O?0 mmol/L?5 mmol/L?and the times of A1 doping on the structure and morphology of AZO nanorods.The results show that AZO nanorods were the hexagonal wurtzite structure when the Al?NO3?3·9H2O concentration was 4 mmol/L.The crystallinity of AZO nanorods was good,and had c-axis preferred orientation.When the A1 doping times was 4,the crystallinity of AZO nanorods was good,but the density was poor.2.We explored effects of the concentration of TBOT on the structure of AZO nanorods?with 2 mmol/L Al?NO3?3·9H2O?.It was found that the surface of AZO nanorods were covered by Ti02 particles when the concentration of TBOT was 0.4 mol/L.Moreover,the crystallinity and compactness of AZO nanorods were good,and the transmittance was about 65%.3.AZO nanorods were grown by two step method after surface treatment of AZO nanorods by Na2S?2 mmol/L Al?NO3?3·9H20?.Effect of the concentration of Na2S on the growth of AZO nanorods was investigated.The results show that the AZO nanorods had compact structure and good crystallinity when the concentration of Na2S was 3mmol/L,but the content of Al was reduced,and the transmittance was about 70%.4.Eosin Y sensitized AZO nanorods were assembled into DSSC.We explored the effects of the concentration of Al?NO3?3·9H20?0 mmol/L?5 mmol/L?and the times of A1 doping on the photoelectronic properties of DSSC.The research showed that the photoelectric conversion efficiency increased gradually with the conventration of Al?NO3?3·9H2O increased.When the concentration of Al?NO3?3·9H20 was 4 mmol/L,the DSSC achieved the best performance,had an efficiency of 0.421%,the open circuit voltage for 0.342 V,the short circuit current density of 5.303 ?A/cm2,the filling factor of 0.232.When the concentration of Al?NO3?3·9H2O increased further,the efficiency of the AZO nanorod DSSC reduced.With the times of the Al doping increased,the efficiency of the nanorod DSSC increased.When the Al doping times was 4,the efficiency of the AZO nanorod DSSC reached 0.268%,the open circuit voltage was 0.215 V,the short circuit current density was 3.803 ?A/cm2 and the filling factor was 0.327.5.Eosin-Y sensitized AZO nanorods were treated by TBOT with different concentration.Effect of concentration of TBOT on photoelectronic properties of AZO nanorod DSSC was studied.The results show that the photoelectric conversion efficiency reached 0.210%,the open circuit voltage was 0.371 V,the short circuit current was 2.089 ?A/cm2,and the filling factor was 0.271 when the concentration of TBOT was 0.4 mol/L.However,when the concentration of TBOT increased further,the efficiency of AZO nanorod DSSC decreased.6.Eosin-Y sensitized AZO nanorods were treated by Na2S with different concentration.Effect of concentration of Na2S on photoelectronic properties of AZO nanorod DSSC was studied.The results show that the efficiency was 0.360%,the open circuit voltage was 0.238 V,the short circuit current was 6.212 ?A/cm2,and the filling factor was 0.243 when the concentration of Na2S was 3mmol/L.However,whenthe concentration of Na2S increased further,the efficiency of AZO nanorod DSSC decreased.
