The moisture damage of pavement has being one of the main problems of road construction in China.The adhesion between asphalt and aggregate is not only the foundation of resistance to water damage,but also the main factor that affects the strength,stability and durability of asphalt mixture directly.Trinidad lake asphalt(TLA),as an excellent properties of natural modifier,add it to the ordinary asphalt can significantly improve the adhesion properties of asphalt and aggregate,prolong the life of asphalt concrete pavement,improve the service level.In order to further study of TLA modified asphalt and aggregate interaction mechanism,in-depth analysis of the change regularity of the adhesion performance of TLA modified asphalt,improve the use of TLA modified asphalt pavement birthday noodles,From the experimental point of view,this paper mainly studies the influence of the type of aggregate,the content of TLA,the aging of TLA modified asphalt on the adhesive property and the anti-water damage rule of aging TLA modified asphalt mixture.With the help of the surface energy theory,by measuring the surface energy parameters,quantitative evaluation of the interfacial adhesion properties of the asphalt and aggregate.The surface tension of hot melt asphalt was determined by the hanging line method,and the contact angle between asphalt and aggregate was determined by the Wilhelmy plate method.The adhesion work between different aggregates and different amount of TLA modified asphalt was calculated by the formula.The test results show that the type of aggregate and the content of TLA has an important effect on adhesive properties,the same TLA dosage,limestone and asphalt adhesion performance best,followed by basalt,diabase and finally;for the same aggregate,the content of TLA increasing,adhesion performance is more obvious.By rotating thin film oven(RTFOT)and pressure aging vessel(PAV)for short-term aging and long-term aging,studying on the change of adhesion performance of asphalt and aggregate under different aging time.The experimental results show that the appropriate aging can improve the adhesion of asphalt and aggregate and excessive aging can lead to the decrease of adhesion performance.The effects of short-term aging and long-term aging on the water stability of TLA modified asphalt mixture were studied by the immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test.The experimental results show that,regardless of short-term and long-term aging,with the increasing degree of aging,the stability of the mixture is gradually reduced,and compared with long-term aging,the short-term aging effect on water stability is more obvious.
