Laser propulsion is a relatively advanced technology with characteristic of high load,no pollution,high specific impulse and repeatable emission efficiency.The gas-liquid two phase propellant laser propulsion has a better comprehensive propulsion performance so that it attracted the attention of domestic and abroad scholars.Energy conversion is mainly achieved by the laser supported detonation wave.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the laser supported detonation wave in gas-liquid two-phase propellant.Gas-liquid two-phase medium laser propulsion belongs to the air breathing mode.Three aspects were studied.In theoretical research,we obtain the factors that influence the dielectric breakdown threshold,and analyze the influence of these factors on the development trend of breakdown threshold.Based on the two-phase medium under the action of laser energy deposition and thermal cycle analysis,cycle efficiency is obtained,and concluded that the compression ratio and constant volume pressure ratio is the influence factors of energy conversion,and energy conversion efficiency increases with the compression ratio and constant volume pressure ratio Finally,the control equation and mathematical model of laser energy are analyzed.In numerical simulation,by simplifying the physical model,we analyze the flow field of laser supported detonation wave in gas-liquid two-phase media under different liquid phases.Then,coupled with parabolic light ship model,the flow field in light ship with gas liquid two-phase medium laser propulsion is simulated.To the aspect of experiment,compared breakdown threshold of pure air with two-phase medium and different liquid proportion.It's found that two-phase medium can reduce the breakdown threshold,and liquid ratio has nothing to do with the breakdown threshold,but the higher the proportion of liquid phase,the higher the probability of breakdown.The plasma lightening images of laser supported detonation wave are obtained by using high-speed camera,and the breakdown of pure air and two phase medium is analyzed.Finally,the impulse produced by the laser propulsion is obtained by the shock pendulum experiment,and the impulse coupling coefficient and energy conversion efficiency can be obtained.
