With the rapid development of science and technology,electromechanical products are necessities to daily life and their categories and functions were more various.Therefore,people are more and more focused on the safety of products.The concept of inherent safety meets the higher safety requirements for electromechanical products and tries to essentially improve the safety.Then this topic has been a significant research to safety study of electromechanical products,quantifying the inherent safety of products is a way to overcome the difficulties of safety study of electromechanical products.Most domestic and international scholars comprehensively discussed the concept of inherent safety on the area of chemical engineering and nuclear power,and deeper researches of inherent safety assessment were conducted.Nevertheless,few researches about quantification of inherent safety of electromechanical products were made.Based on other studies of the safety of products,this thesis conducted researches on quantifying the inherent safety of products.First of all,safety devices were analyzed by FMECA to understand the failure model and influence.Furthermore,categories of probable accidents,which might be with the prerequisite of the fault of safety devices,were identified and analyzed by FTA.Then,according to the minimal cut sets of FTA,the combinations of safety device failure models were obtained.The final quantification model of inherent safety was constructed by calculating the inherent safety extents of different accidences in different safety device failure models.For the products with redundancy system,failure mechanism of redundancy system was analyzed by introducing a DFT.Failure rate of redundancy system and the degree of accident influences were identified according to different combinations of redundancy units.In conclusion,in order to prove the practicability of this thesis,a DC traction-type elevator was used as an instance to calculate the extent of inherent safety.This thesis developed a method of quantifying the inherent safety of products,which objectively reflected the extent of inherent safety.Then,inherent safety can be used as one of important factors to evaluate the safety of products,and provide the theoretical basis of product safety design.
