The traditional manufacturing method of magnesium alloy automobile hub is dominated by expensive casting,this project is based on the hot extrusion process and the finite element analysis of Deform-3D for the hot extrusion forming.The whole wheel hub is large in size,complex in shape,difficult in forming and epensive in demand in demand.In the design of the extrusion process of the magnesium alloy wheel parts,the extrusion process is studied and optimized,and the extrusion process is verified by the design of the die structure.According to the analysis of the size and structure characteristics of the wheel hub,different extrusion and billet schemes were designed in advance,and the advantages and disadvantages were analyzed.According to the material and process characteristics,the process parameters of the extrusion speed,lubrication condition and extrusion temperature were determined in advance.Die model was established and the corresponding blank,different extrusion forming process scheme and different blank schemes were simulated by Deform-3D software,analyzed the deformation process,equivalent different schemes of stress and strain and the mold with the required load,determined a reasonable proposal and extrusion pre forming blank solution.According to the simulation results,the corresponding measures are put forward to improve the extrusion process.Changing the extrusion temperature,friction coefficient,blank radius and extrusion speed and other parameters on the final extrusion effect,in order to determine the most reasonable process of the stress and strain distribution,the required load.Finally,the simulation results are verified by the design of the die and the wheel hub parts.The results showed that the compression scheme 2 although blank making process is more complex,can reduce the pressure equipment tonnage required greatly,make the forming strain more uniform:comparison of A shaped billet,B shaped billet extrusion amount,extrusion the better performance of the improved scheme;extrusion can solve some difficulties in torming,such as the extrusion stress and strain distribution.The blank radius is bigger,the extrusion forming part of a tire is better,but the mechanical properties of the hub will be reduced;the higher the extrusion temperature,the less extrusion performance required load will be reduced;the extrusion speed has little influence on the extrusion strain,but the larger speed will increase the deformation resistance,produce extrusion forming defects;friction coefficient will greatly affect the die load,it is of great importance to keep good lubrication condition.The shape and size of the wheel is basically in accordance with the numerical simulation results.It is proved that the extrusion of magnesium alloy is feasible.
