Oil diffusion pumps are one of the most widely used tools currently used to achieve high vacuum applications. It has the characteristics of low cost, simple structure, easy manufacturing,no mechanical transmission,no vibration,no noise, easy operation, easy maintenance and long life. The pumping rate of the oil diffusion pump is an important indicator of the working performance of the reaction oil diffusion pump. How to improve the pumping rate of oil diffusion pump has always been the focus of relevant research units. The factors that affect the pumping speed of the diffusion pump are the nozzle diameter, the nozzle throat gap,the pitch, the cavity shape and so on.This paper designs the calculation of KT-400 oil diffusion pump determine the structure and size oil diffusion pump. After three-dimensional modeling with SolidWorks,Fluent was used to simulate the level of the nozzle structure, the angle of the angle, the throat gap and the interstage spacing at all levels using the software of computational fluid dynamics and optimized. But also the numerical simulation of the influence of the oil cap,the oil retaining ring and the convex cavity on the steam jet of the diffusion pump. Can be obtained by numerical simulation the structure of the primary nozzle can affect the speed of the discharged steam. The larger the angle, the larger the steam jet velocity is.The smaller the throat gap is,the larger the steam jet is.The calculated inter-stage spacing is not the optimal inter-stage spacing. The greater the spacing between the stages, the smaller the velocity of the jet from the primary nozzle. If the inter-stage spacing is too small, the steam jets emitted at all levels will interfere with each other. The oil cap and the retaining ring can effectively prevent the return of the steam The oil return rate of the convex cavity pump is lower than that of the straight cavity pump.
