Energy storage technology is one of the important technologies to promote the "energy revolution" and build a clean,low carbon,safe and efficient modern energy system.Compressed Air Energy Storage(CAES)has the merits of wide power range,long life time,unlimited storage time and lower impact on the environment and has become an important research area of current ESS technology.A compressed air energy storage with solar thermal storage system is a hybrid system with adiabatic compressed air energy storage and solar thermal system.It stores compression heat during charging time and further utilizes solar thermal storage system to improve the turbine inlet temperature during the discharging time,which can improve the system efficiency,and eliminate fuel consumption in the conventional compressed air energy storage system.This technology can also promote the penetration of solar energy.In this paper,based on the compressed air energy storage system,different types of solar heat storage system in different operation mode are integrated.Thermodynamics method and technical-economic analysis method are applied to analysis the compressed air energy storage with solar thermal storage system.1.The system model of compressed air energy storage with solar thermal storage is built and analyzed through Aspen Plus software.The thermodynamic performance of four typical integration modes are studied.2.The simulation results reveal the change law of the systematical performance along with the turbine inlet temperature,storage pressure,discharge pressure,compressor series,turbine series,compressor efficiency and turbine efficiency.3.An engineering design plan of 10 MW system with recovery of exhaust heat is proposed and a technical-economic analysis on the system is studied.The results show that the compressed air energy storage with solar thermal storage system can realize the comprehensive and effective utilization of energy,improve the efficiency of storage and solar energy utilization efficiency by improving the turbine inlet temperature.At the same time,the system has good economic benefits.The research in this paper can provide some references for the system optimization design and project investment decision.
